Diversity and Allyship with Nature

As part of the "Beyond Hope and Fear: Social Courage and Climate Change" symposium hosted by the Boulder Shambhala Center, I will be leading a nature hike on Sunday, August 14th.

Description:
Amidst recent local, national, and global tragedies and policies that have prompted social media campaigns like #blacklivesmatter, #sayhername, #wejustneedtopee, and #illgowithyou, we are being called in to reexamine what it means to be an ally to people who are different from us. We are being called in to reexamine what it means to be an ally to ourselves and to the Earth. This nature-based experiential will dive into an exploration of difference in the natural world, offering lessons and applications of allyship amidst diversity.
