At NWC, solidarity and anti-oppression work is core to the therapeutic relationship. We recognize that black lives matter, that we reside on indigenous lands, that intersectional identities amplify both trauma and resilience, and that intergenerational, historical, society-caused traumas need to be addressed by all clients in order to interrupt cycles of violence.

 

Accessibility: I provide counseling in spoken English, American Sign Language, and Spanish. I am a flexible communicator for people whose first language is not English.

Every fall, a few organizations and individuals round up over 20 volunteers to host a family-friendly event in Colorado for children who are dually diagnosed with and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and hearing loss/deafness. We provide multiple linguistic role models, 1-on-1 support, sensory activities, a parent breakout session, crafts, lunch, and animal activities.
